The team of the Kowloon Canton Railway has set up the quarry and brick factory in the village. Stones and raw materials were quarried in this area in the past for making bricks. Those red bricks can still be found on one of the bridges nowadays, you can find the letters of “KCR” marking the origin if you look detailed into them.
