Lu Zu Temple and stone tablet
Village culture associated with water
Located alongside the Ng Tung River, the village has a strong connection to the river not only geographically but also culturally. Ng Tung River was an important source of water in the village in the past, however, the village suffered from flooding. Therefore, villagers raised funds to build a temple together and held events on the Hungry Ghost Festival every year to pray for safety. A stone tablet can also be found at the entrance of the village near the river, which commemorates the construction of the stone dam to tackle the flooding issue in 1954 by the government.
